‘D.I.Y. ART’ is a small Melbourne-based artistic collective that was established in 2005. The collective brings together young artists working across many disciplines, including filmmaking, animation, theatre production, design, street and ephemeral art, music, sound design, visual media and creative writing.
D.I.Y Art Films is a production studio working within the collective. Over the last three years, D.I.Y Art Films has produced a series of low-budget independent short films and animations. Our latest film, 'Fraught', won Best Australian Film at the 2007 Melbourne International Animation Festival. Current members of D.I.Y Art Films are Stephanie Brotchie, Maia Tarrell, and Chris Pahlow.
In addition to our independent productions, we offer a range of services including film, animation, music video and multimedia production, as well as design and advertising.
